- How would you describe your typical workday? (e.g., meeting-heavy, project-based, deadline-driven) Feels very meeting heavy, or deadline-driven.
Calendar Management Questions
- How many calendars do you currently use? (e.g., personal, work, family) I think 4 (2 personal – one with my husband, one with my parents), work calendar, and then subscribing to the elementary school calendar.
- What types of appointments do you typically schedule? (e.g., meetings, personal appointments, deadlines) meetings and personal appointments, likely would be better at my job if I added in deadlines.
- How far in advance do you typically schedule appointments? Depends – personal appointments, before I leave the room. Professional usually week of.
- Do you have any recurring appointments or meetings? Yes – standing team on week days (but couldn’t figure out how to calendar that so it also appears on Saturday and Sunday – I know I know, please don’t judge, just think what a major impact you are going to have!!)
- Do you have specific preferences for meeting lengths or intervals between meetings? I love breathing room in between, 15 min minimum, but would love 30 or so to decompress, go through emails prep for the next.
- Do you have any specific calendar appearance or formatting preferences? (e.g., bright colors or pastels, detailed calendar or only what is necessary) more details the better.
- How important is time blocking for you and what for? I’ve never been successful at it, but would like to try again.
